From here to here...

Hey all,

We are leaving soon. We are sailing from cape town Monday afternoon, departing from Table bay and heading to Ascension island(somewhere in the middle of the atlantic). Then 5,000 nautical miles later we should be in Trindad. Above are two charts that we will use on this leg of our voyage. Check the blog in 20-30 days to see if we made it. On the africa/south america chart we are essentially sailing from the bottom right to the top left, with a stop in the middle (sorry for the poor picture quality)

The Crew

These two pics are devon christening the boat(with champagne) and the Crew (Mark[my dad], me[robin], devon[bunny] and Uncle Don[the man]). We are a ragtag bunch of hardcore oceanites. We leave in less than 12 hours, sweet.

Bon Voyage!

hey everybody,

I am leaving in 12 hours to sail across the Atlantic Ocean. We have been preparing for a while and now is the time to leave. I love south africa but i am more than ready to leave. 3 months of RCYC (royal cape yacht club) is more than anyone needs. A great club but the open ocean beats it any day.
